dr. mark cheng

Dr. Mark Cheng is one of the most sought-after experts in the world of injury rehabilitation & human performance. Having studied various martial arts since youth and strength and conditioning methods directly from the legendary Soviet Spetznaz (special forces) instructor Pavel Tsatsouline, he followed the traditional progression of those studies and formalized his education in Chinese medicine. Cheng has earned his licensure (L.Ac.) in California as well as on the national level (NCCAOM) and his Ph.D. in Chinese medicine & acupuncture with specialization in Tui-Na manual medicine.

Over the years, Dr. Cheng's been the featured subject matter expert for a number of Tai-Chi & Tai-Chi based instructional videos, served the US Olympic Speedskating Team during the 2018 Winter Olympics, treated & rehabbed countless professional athletes, and continued the study of his first true love, martial arts, holding instructor level rankings in a variety of arts, including devoted study under Bruce Lee's protege, Dan Inosanto. Dr. Cheng's eye is keenly focused on the restorative & rejuvenative practices that were held sacred by the ancients and increasingly lost in modern times. His approach to medicine, martial arts, and life is a syncretic one, weaving the best tools and perspectives from both modern and ancient ways to provide best outcomes for each individual.
