Over one billion women (40% of women in the world) don't have access to financial resources.

Our Mission

Little Indian Girl (501c3) is a women, LGBTQIA2S+, and globally Indigenous-led collective of artists, activists, and community leaders committed to using storytelling — in all its forms — as a method of social change.

We strive to uplift disruptive, truth-telling stories and amplify diverse voices from around the world in the climate and social justice movements.

We tell stories of creation, of ancient peoples of the land, of lost languages, music and dance, of food sovereignty, decolonization, and of land and water protection. We tell folk tales, animal tales, stories of spirits across cultures, stories of the moon and her worship; stories that make our cultures and traditions so incredibly rich.

The vision of this collective is to uplift women and Indigenous storytellers; to create safe spaces for women to be mentored, to be given access, to be on set, in studios, and on stage; to fund meaningful stories, and to have more of us in the rooms where decisions are made. With a mentorship program, a support system is built in from the beginning, allowing us to lift up the next generation of storytellers and give them the access many of us never had.

“The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.”
